Circle Path drops debut album The Annual Party—a soft, nostalgic take on growing up
Sitting at your work desk, rushing a near-deadline report while sipping your fifth coffee of the day—you suddenly realize your pre-grad life slipped away in a blink. That exact feeling? Circle Path just turned it into an album.
Released on April 20, 2026, The Annual Party marks a major milestone for the Medan-based trio after five years in Indonesia’s alternative pop scene. The band: Vindy Adeliesta, the vocalist; Khairiza Hafiz, the bassist; and Baasith Al-Farabi, the drummer—dives deep into youth in transition, capturing the messy shift from teenage years to early adulthood.

The album pulls from real, everyday moments: classroom memories, prom nights, birthdays, fleeting relationships, and the kind of goodbyes that quietly break you. It’s about growing up—confusing, freeing, and a little bittersweet all at once.
At the same time, Indonesian pop and indie-pop are steadily gaining global attention. Artists like NIKI, alongside Jakarta acts such as Rich Brian, Pamungkas, and Hindia, have helped shape the sound of the scene. From Medan, names like Lyodra and Judika (from Indonesian Idol) also put the city on the map and now, Circle Path joins that wave, offering a more intimate, indie-pop lens on youth and identity.
Sonically, the project blends bright pop textures with emotional depth, layered with nostalgia in every track. It also expands their sound through collaborations with LUHVEE, ALYSSA, Hang Lekiu Said, Raisya Aqila of Grass Park, Azizah Latifa Farsha, and Daffa Haris—adding new dimensions to their storytelling.

Following their EP Unstable Hearts and past singles, this debut feels like more than a release. It’s Circle Path capturing a phase of life you didn’t realize you were already leaving behind.
